Om Marcus Tannenberg

Presentation

PhD student at the Department of Political Science and the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) Institute since the autumn 2015.

Research interest

Corruption, democratization, censorship, middle class, political economy and development.

Current research

In my dissertation I focus on citizen-state interactions under authoritarian rule. Including strategies for legitimizing autocratic systems, accountability in the absence of democratic institutions and the responsiveness and repressiveness of the state.
