Public Policy and Public Administration

Research in the field of public policy and public administration concerns both questions regarding the ability of elected political bodies (parliamentary, municipal and county councils) to exercise governance, and the individual relationship between citizens and various government agencies and municipal service activities, and analysis of government reform program creation, execution and results. The area also holds studies of the regions' new roles and forms of political control and "governance".

Research fields:

◾How affect the state's changing role, globalization and the new international institutions on public policy content?

◾What characterizes the Swedish administrative policy changes in terms of organization and governance in a comparative perspective?

◾What opportunities have an altered state, in collaboration with other actors control the society and the economy?

◾What means the management policy development at local and regional level for the functioning of democracy and the citizens' living conditions?
