93 percent of our alumni are in occupation after graduation!

In 2018 an alumni survey was sent out from the Department of Political Science to 510 alumni, former students. 263 responded to the survey, giving a response rate of 52 per cent.

The results show that 93 percent of our alumni have jobs, work as trainees or as volunteers, started their own companies or have continued to study. 47 per cent have permanent employment – 41 per cent in the public sector and 28 per cent in the private sector. 24 per cent work abroad. 34 per cent of the respondent alumni started their jobs before completing their studies. Those who did internships found jobs faster.

  • Coordinator
  • Investigator
  • Communications professional
  • Consultant and committee secretary

The most common employers are:

  • The City of Gothenburg
  • The University of Gothenburg
  • The Swedish Migration Board

Alumni interviews

Đorđe Milosav is a former student at the Master´s Programme in Political Science (MaPS). A couple of days after defending his Master thesis he was accepted for a PhD position in Ireland.
