Pedagogical seminar

Research profile seminar

The seminar will focus on the important topic on how to further improve quality in our education programs. During the last year, many of our programs have been evaluated in relation to the University´s Policy of Quality Assurance and Continuous Policy Improvement of Education.

So far, we have received the evaluation report from the evaluation of Political Science and IAGG, with a very positive summary statement of our education quality. Later this autumn, we will receive the evaluation from the Swedish Higher Education Authority of our courses in Civic Studies for teacher students and we hope for equally positive statements. With the help of three invited guests, the aim of the seminar is to discuss how we as a department, as colleagues and as individual teachers can work to maintain and further improve the education quality in the future. The three guests will share their research results and thoughts on how we should define high education quality and what could be done, both at organizational level and at other levels, to improve it.

Invited guests:

Lars Geshwind, KTH (Royal Institute of Technoloy), professor in Engineering Education Policy and Management

Åsa Kettis, Uppsala University, Associate Professor and Head of Division for Quality Enhancement

Torgny Roxå, Lund University, Senior Lecturer, Department of Educational Sciences, Division for Higher Education Development

Fika will be served after the seminar!
