  • Two students received the first Sustainability Thesis Award, GUSTA

    [15 Nov 2019] The University of Gothenburg's Sustainability Thesis Award, GUSTA, was delivered for the first time at the Act Sustainable week final event. The GUSTA award recognizes outstanding theses written on sustainable development related topics. The award 2019 was delivered to Ryan Davis at the department of Political Science and Sandra Sternad Fackel at the school of Global Studies.

  • The new GU card will be launched on November 25

    [12 Nov 2019] Since the new card is based on a completely new system, all old GU cards at the university must be replaced during spring 2020.

  • Greening economies in Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda

    [4 Nov 2019] In Nyamata, Rwanda during September 9-20 Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development (GMV), University of Gothenburg and Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI)-Rwanda carried out a two weeks training for fifteen high-level civil servants from Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda. The aim of the training is to strengthen national capacity for an Inclusive Green Economy (IGE), which is one of the prerequisites for achieving Agenda 2030.
