About Constanza Sanhueza Petrarca


Constanza Sanhueza Petrarca is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the V-Dem Institute at the University of Gothenburg.

She completed her PhD thesis entitled “Voters, Parties and Representation in European Multicultural Democracies” in 2015 at the University of Mannheim. From 2015 to 2016 she was a Post-doctoral Researcher at SciencesPo Paris in the Project Pathways to Power, which investigates the political representation of citizens of immigrant origin in Europe. Previously, she was a Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Mannheim, and she worked with the Electoral Integrity Project at the University of Sydney, the Humboldt University Berlin, the Manifesto Project, the European Commission, the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST) in France and the Maastricht University.

Research interests

Her fields of interest include institutions, voting behavior, parties, political representation, immigration, quantitative and experimental methods and survey research.

Current research

At the V-Dem Institute, Constanza works on survey experiments.
