Areas of interest

Her research is mainly concerned with the link between democracy and corruption, where she explores differences between different forms of corruption and clientelism as well as the influence of transparency and corruption on civic and electoral engagement. She also studies the determinants of effective foreign aid delivery and the effects of corruption on public support for foreign aid and international redistribution, as well as the link between gender, corruption and public service delivery.

Current research

She is currently involved in two research programs, the RJ funded program "Out of Control or Over Controlled: Incentives Audits and New Public Management" and the EU Horizon 2020 funded program PERCEIVE (Perceptions and Evaluations of Regional Cohesion Policy by Europeans and Identification with the Values of Europe)
