Department of Political Science

The Department of Political Science is an open and socially oriented department in the center of the city of Gothenburg. Our research profile focuses on voters and elections, opinion and democracy, governance, international politics, European politics, environmental policy, corruption, collective action and political ideas. We are often hired as experts in different contexts and cooperate closely with the surrounding community.

We offer both independent courses and programmes in political science, European studies and international administration and global governance. We train future teachers in civics and participate in a number of other programmes within the University of Gothenburg.
